Whale Watching Season

Whale watching in Sydney is a magic event. Every year, from Autumn until Spring, you can witness the humpback whales making their way up the coast to the warmer North Queensland waters and back down south again with their calves. You can watch the whales make their journey from the land or sea. National parks, coastal walks and headlands are great places to watch the whales for free. For a closer experience, hop on a whale watching cruise!
The absolute best time to see them is late June and early July – probably the last week of June and the first week of July, around about the winter solstice.
Sydney Mardi Gras Parade

"The Sydney Mardi Gras parade is Australia's largest LGBTQIA+ pride parade and every year it attracts hundreds of thousands of people.
Born from a single night of political protest in 1978, the annual Parade has grown into a dazzling spectacle of creative self-expression, with hundreds of thousands of supporters lining the streets. This year we’re expecting approximately 190 floats and over 12,000 participants to be dancing down the Parade route, which travels from Oxford Street, via the iconic Taylor Square and Flinders Street, to Moore Park.
The Parade is a global beacon of diversity and inclusion with the aim to raise the visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex communities. Whether you’re a Parade veteran or first-timer, whoever you are, whoever you love, the Parade is a spectacular event which brings us all together."
