Midsumma Festival is a queer arts and cultural festival celebrating the work of LGBTQIA+ communities. Throughout the city streets there will be parades and events such as dances, electric music and sport competitions. This is a colourful festival that attracts more than 40,000 people to over 130 events, including the famous Midsumma Pride March on January 28th.

On this night in Melbourne, many city streets are open only for pedestrians, from 7pm to 7am, and the famous Flinders Street Station is transformed into amphitheatre hosting a free concert in the dark. More than 100 local and international artists perform that night. In parallel, many activities and shows are held in thirty sites in the city centre.
